We Should Take Some Tips From Our Mother Country

Europe has never really had the huge gas guzzler cars, they've always been a bit fuel efficient but on Wednesday in central London Britain's installed their first on-street charging points for electric cars. We all know that our environment needs us and Britain is taking the initiative to try to encourage drivers to stay clear from vehicles that are just too dependent on gas. This is something that is going to be very helpful because the city of Westminster has the highest levels of air pollution in the Britain. What makes it even better is that it is in their entertainment district so hopefully it will be taken advantage of by the many people who go there. They are also considering having the congestion cost increase from 8 pounds to 25 pounds for any gas guzzling cars that enter.
Unlike the leaders of our country, Britains leaders see how simple things like this can have a big impact,"putting free charging points on the street where people need them most is a simple concept which we hope will help galvanise broader appeal for electric car use," said the councillor Alan Bradley,"There have been technical hurdles to overcome, but we're confident the future lies in offering alternatives to petrol and diesel vehicles." Hopefully the United States will have a promising future that includes these alternatives.

Healthy food is NOT expensive!

Everyone should try to eat healthy, it's better for yourself and the environment and this is not an expensive habit. It only takes a little more than $5 for a full day's meal that includes such things as oatmeal, milk, fresh fruit, beans and rice, whole grain and white bread, and a salad here and there. No one can say that $5 is a lot for a meal because that about how much an average fast food meal cost. The truth is that unprocessed, basic foods are usually dirt cheap. Potatoes sometimes go for as little as a nickel or dime a pound in many places, and they're one of the very most nutritious foods. Beans and rice are very inexpensive. The only time that healthy food gets expensive is when it comes to restaurants because they've gotten so used to using cheap things to make our food that now when people are realizing how fattening and dangerous some of those things can be to our health, they have to make a change. Small changes are what make the world go round. Paying a little more money to make sure that the food is healthy for your customers is ok because in the end, people will be less afraid to eat at restaurants as often as they want to because they know their food is not hurting them.

How much will preventing global warming cost?

According to a report from economic consultants Lombard Street research, it would cost our economy $18 trillion dollars to prevent global warming. We don't have to be reminded that $18 trillion is a lot of money but they do remind us by saying that it is equilvalent to 45 percent of the worlds gross domestic product for one year. Of course big numbers will scare us, but where are these numbers coming from? They come from the same people that want to make us think that it's better to learn how to deal with "higher sea levels and freak weather, net of land gains in Canada, Siberia and other cold areas in thousands of square miles" than try to prevent global warming before it prevents us from living.
Preventing global warming would not be free either. Money would have to be sacrificed to help prevent global warming because we will be consuming less energy and fossil fuels, but it does not take as much money as they want you to think it does. The thing is, this is a huge problem and we do not and cannot wait for our officials to start doing something because the truth is they will not start until we will. Using less electricity in your home, using ur car less and eating healthier can all help our environment. It doesn't cost much, that's just an excuse to procrastinate and put this off for all long as they can but we can't do that or else we will be paying an expensive price, the toll the global warming has taken on the earth.
